Hallelujah!!!

Yes you read that right. Weddings! I have actual weddings from a year that suggested there would be no such occasions let alone ones that were awesome. I had a grand total of 5 weddings last year! Some couples had 30 guests, some just 8, most were somewhere around the 15 mark. The main thing that I took away from these weddings was that it’s ok to go small and intimate and make it purely about the moment of becoming married. It’s ok to have a relaxed ceremony. It’s ok to treat those guests you were allowed to invite to an even more special time. I’m not going to lie though. I did miss the gathering and chatter of guests pre ceremony. I missed group shots and long confetti runs. I missed watching the hugs and kisses of congratulations. I missed seeing the grans who LOVE being a part of the day. I missed speeches with heckling guests and mostly I missed that moment when the dancefloor is full of your best friends dancing their arses off. But more than any of that what I mainly feel is a huge amount of happiness and gratitude that I got to capture these times for these wonderful humans and their very close friends and family.

We don’t know what the near future is going to look like for weddings but what I do know is that whatever you decide make sure it’s a day that you know you will cherish and not just satisfy for.

Love will win.
